On June 1st; 4 Deale Volunteers graduated from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department’s Cadet Vo-Tech Program. John Browning, Jeff Grierson, Jake Mettam and Ryan Whittington all received certificates of completion at a graduation ceremony held at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Department. They traveled to Millersville Fire Headquarters every day after 2nd period at Southern High for this program. The Cadets completed instruction in Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, Rescue Tech, EMT Basic, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Hazmat Operations and Blood Borne Pathogens. On Tuesday; 5/09/06 – Members from the Deale Volunteer Fire Dept. participated in training exercises at the station . Exercises included truck operations & vehicle extrication. Tk42 was used in the training exercises. Training was held for about 3 hours.
