2-Alarm Dwelling Fire in Chalkpoint

On 4/15/07 at 0529 hrs. Engine 421 and Truck 42 responded to a dwelling fire in the 41-04 box off Dunnington Place. E411 arrived with heavy smoke showing and pulled one attack line, E421 arrived right behind and pulled a second attack line off E411.  Second alarm was struck.  Units from AA, Calvert & PG responded, units cleared the scene around 0900 hrs. Truck Rollover Results in Hazmat Incident

On 4/10/06 at approx. 1113 hrs. – Truck 42 responded along with Medic 42 & Utility 42 to a MVC at the intersection of Route 2 & Route 256.  Tk42 arrived on scene, found a flatbed truck overturned off the road with one occupant.  The truck was carrying 3 – 500 gallon containers of a sodium hypochlorite mixture.  The incident was upgraded to a haz-mat box shortly after. The driver of the truck suffered burns to his legs, arms and face and other minor injuries and was transported to Washington Hospital Center.  Units from Anne Arundel and Calvert responded to the incident. On 2/11/06 at approx. 1915 hrs. – Truck 42 responded along with Engine 422 to a MVC on Rt. 2 and Friendship Rd.  Upon arriving on scene, found an MVC involving two vehicles; a small car and a dump truck.  No injuries and no transports were made.  Units from Anne Arundel & Calvert responded.  Both Engine & Truck cleared shortly after. Engine & Truck on Trailer Fire in 09-25 Box

At approx. 2042 hrs, a dwelling fire was dispatched in the 09-25 box at Patuxent Manor Mobile Estates. BC3 arrived on scene and reported of a 40’x60′ mobile trailer with smoke showing. The first due unit arrived on scene and reported that the structure was fully involved. The house was not occupied at the time and no one was injured. Overturned Propane Tanker on Owensville Rd

On 11/17/06 at approx. 0830 hrs. – Truck 42 responded along with several other units to an overturned propane tanker on Owensville Road between Tenthouse and Cherry Branch Roads. Units arrived and found a single-vehicle involved with propane leaking from the tanker. The driver of the tanker was treated for a minor hand injury. The tanker was carrying about 2500 gallons of propane at the time. Approx. 8 homes in the nearby area were evacuated and provided shelter at the near by Galesville Fire Station. The decision was made to burn off the remaining fuel so the tanker could be moved. Engine 422 was later dispatched to the scene for tanker shuttle operations; which were needed to keep the overturned tanker cool and prevent possible explosions while the propane was being burned off. On 10/26/06 at 0658 hrs. Engine 421 and Medic 42 were alerted for a dwelling fire in the 42-33 box on Sansbury Road. Truck 42 also was added to the call. Battalion 3 arrived on scene with fire showing from sides A, C & D. E92 arrived on scene and made the inital knock on the fire which was held on the second story. E421 assisted E92 and with overhaul. On 7/28/06 Engine 422 and Truck 42 were alerted for a structure fire in the 9-1 box at 5453 Southern Maryland Blvd. First units arrived on scene with smoke showing from side A & C. PG E203 arrived and found a van inside well off and advanced a line for fire attack. E422’s crew assumed RIT and tanker shuttle operations.
